Routines for MELTimodal Schools




First, the teacher will decide when to use the material in the lesson. If the teacher reads the text herself, she will access the background music with the help of the QR code at the bottom right. If the teacher does not read it, he/she will access the voiced text with the help of the QR code at the bottom left. There is also a glossary that can be used for unknown words. 


Instructions for teachers:


  • The sunshine says "good morning!" Stretch your arms up high like a sleepy kitty and wiggle your toes like happy worms!

  • Today is a brand new adventure! Before you hop out of bed, feel the cool floor under your feet. It's like a little hello from the ground!

  • Take a big breath in, filling your tummy with fresh air, and blow out slowly like a birthday candle.

  • Making your bed is like a fun game! Smooth out the sheets like a comfy blanket for your bed. Tuck in the corners nice and tight,

    like wrapping a present for yourself.

  • Brushing your teeth is like a game! Feel the brush go wiggle wiggle and the

    toothpaste tastes minty fresh.

  • Your teeth will be sparkling clean and ready-to-eat yummy chocolates.

  • Imagine you're under a warm waterfall when you take a shower! Let the water wash away all your boo-boos and make your muscles feel happy

    and relaxed.

  • Close your eyes and take a deep breath, smelling the scent of your soap. Combing your hair is like a magic trick! Watch the comb zoom through your hair like a superhero. Each stroke feels smooth and makes your hair look neat

    and tidy.

  • Pick out clothes that make you feel like a superstar! Is your shirt soft and cuddly or smooth and cool? Feel how your clothes hug you when you put them on.

  • Washing your hands is like giving them a high five with soap! Feel the cool water and the bubbles on your skin. Imagine all the dirt and germs getting washed away, leaving your hands sparkling clean!

  • Riding the bus is like watching a movie! Look out the window and see all the cool things going by.

  • Listen

    to the sounds of the world around you and feel the fresh air on your face. Enjoy your ride and be happy!

  • Tonight, in your bed, close your eyes and think about three awesome things that happened today. Did you see a funny ladybug? Did you eat a yummy snack? Did you feel the warm sun on your face? Remember these happy moments and smile!

  • Now take another big breath in, feeling calm and cozy, then blow out slowly and go to your dreamland.
